THE FERRY:
The SJI Ferry Terminal is located in Anacortes, WA. If you plan to drive your car onto the boat, we STRONGLY recommend reserving your ferry ahead of time, as car slots fill up quickly in the summer months.

Be sure to book a round trip from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. There are multiple islands and ferry routes, so plan carefully. Travelers only pay to go to the islands (east). The return is free, but reservations for the ferry back to Anacortes is still strongly recommended. If you are planning to walk on the boat, there are multiple paid parking lots available at the terminal. Once parked, walk down to the terminal and buy walk-on tickets inside. 

TRAVEL TIME:
You must arrive at the Ferry Terminal AT LEAST 1 hour to 90 minutes early! If you arrive later than 30 minutes before your ferry is scheduled to depart, you will lose your reservation (even if you are 1 minute late)! If you are walking on, allow 45 minutes before departure to park and buy tickets. Be sure to bring food/snacks/water just in case, as there can be unexpected ferry delays and cancellations. The Ferry terminal does offer limited options at their cafe and food kiosk/vending machines.

Be sure to book your lodging early as rooms fill up quickly in the Summer months! See below for recommend lodging resources.

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION ON FRIDAY HARBOR:
If you come by car, please note that there is no long term parking available near the marina. There is long term parking about 3 blocks up 1st street by the Court House, which is about a 10 minute walk from the marina. If you are staying the night, check in to your lodging first. For a day trip, we recommend parking at the ferry terminal in Anacortes and walking on the ferry. There are also limited shuttles, taxi's, and car rentals on island if you plan to travel outside of town limits. 
 

FRIDAY HARBOR CRUISES LOCATION:
Friday Harbor Cruises is located in slip M10 at the Port of Friday Harbor marina. You will receive additional details upon booking your cruise.
